Here are some of the activities I thought to capture this week during our home school time.
Our book study this months starts with "once upon a time"... Fairy Tales! We're big fans of author/illustrators Paul Galdone and Jan Brett, and we've started our fairy tales unit with The Three Billy Goats Gruff and The Gingerbread Baby. The boys love both these books and enjoyed doing several reading comprehension activities.

We studied Moses this past week
with a focus on the 10 Commandments and how they help us know how to live in a
way that honors God and others. Here the boys sorted the 10
commandments into the two greatest commandments: love God and love others.
For Christ said "All the law and the Prophets hang on these two
commandments." Matthew 22:40
I found this upbeat song to help learn the 10 commandments, perfect for combining learning, music, and movement! All my pictures of them dancing were a blur.
Luke is working on graphing this month. He sorted his M&Ms by color and then graphed them to show which color had the most, least, and same amount.
Caleb made two different graphs to show the number of children in families we know.
Since it was letter "M" week for Luke and Jonathan, one of our math activities included using marshmallows to practice counting, adding, and subtracting.
