It's been a few weeks since I've updated the blog. Kennon went to Ethiopia for a week and a half, and I went into a little bit of survival mode. The boys and I missed Kennon terribly, but truthfully we did pretty well. No doubt a covering of prayer by the saints, and many people went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of... God's gift of community! Kennon had a fruitful time of ministry training pastors, and we had the opportunity to face time with him and one of his native Ethiopian translators, Taye, which was pretty cool!
Call me crazy but the first night Kennon was gone we decided to beat the blues with a slumber party! Yes, we tried to sleep four of us in the bed; let's just say it was a memory!
We planned a road trip with my sister and little cousin Joshua to visit Grandad and Nana which was something fun for the boys to look forward to while Kennon was away. We rearranged car seats and packed the mini van with boys!

The boys worked on Kennon's welcome home sign for about three days

We have managed to get a little school done too...
Caleb convinced me that he counts better upside down.
We've been watching the big Oak tree in our front yard since fall to see how it changes through the different seasons. Here are Caleb and Luke writing and sketching how it looks in Spring.
Luke has been working on one to one correspondence. We started with a six holed muffin pan and moved to twelve. He rolled the dice and had to put the correct number of buttons in the matching muffin hole.

In case you were wondering the bottom right picture is God with all his muscles!
This past Saturday Luke finally had his first ever soccer game! It had been canceled twice due to weather, and you would have thought it was Christmas morning based on the week long anticipation. Little guy exploded and scored a goal within the first minute of the game!
Way to go Luke!
