Getting Ready for Good Friday

Yesterday we made our traditional Easter Mountain.

To make Golgotha/ Easter Mountain combine 4 c flour, 1.5 c salt, 1 tbs oil, and 1.5 cups water or more until desired consistency is reached. We use a soup can for the tomb under the mountain and then make sure to form a stone that will be rolled in front of the tomb. Place popsicle sticks where the three crosses will stand and use a toothpick or a fork to make small holes for chenille people. Bake 4-5 hours on 250 degrees. Afterward, have fun coloring! Tomorrow afternoon we will place our chenille people including Mary, John, and the soldiers around Golgatha as Jesus and the robbers are hung on the cross.
