Caleb's Kindergarten Graduation

You're off to Great Places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting,
So... get on your way!
- Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You'll Go

Congratulations, Caleb! You learned a lot this year around our kitchen table, in our backyard, in our car, and many other places "as we were going" and probably taught your brothers even more. God chose you to be our first born and thus the child guinea pig, and you could not be more perfect as the leader of your brothers and one full of grace for your mom and dad. Homeschooling built character, discipline, and grace in us all this year, and we are so very proud of you and the little man that God is shaping you into right before our eyes. Nothing in this life is more important to us than you intimately knowing Jesus Christ and knowing that you are fully known and loved by your Savior, Lord, and King. And therefore, the words of your Tuesday Veritas teacher beautifully sum up the great joy of what we see in you as you graduate Kindergarten...
I love his sense of wonder and confidence in who he is. Caleb knows he is a child of the King. It spills out of him in his actions and words.
Amen! We love you!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
- Hebrews 12:1-3
